## How we work

- **Share the vessel details**: Vessel name or IMO, port, ETA/ETD and the systems or problem involved.
- **Survey & planning**: We review drawings or photos, agree the scope and prepare materials and configurations in advance.
- **Engineer on board**: Installation, repair or maintenance carried out during the port call, in Rotterdam, Antwerp, Istanbul or elsewhere.
- **Report & 24/7 support**: Commissioning results and a service report, followed by remote monitoring and round-the-clock support.

## Maritime equipment installed right the first time
Satcenter installs, commissions and maintains satellite communication and onboard IT systems on commercial vessels, offshore units and yachts. Our own engineers attend ships in ports across Europe, Türkiye and beyond, often at short notice and during tight port stays, so that your vessel sails with connectivity that works from day one.

Every project starts with a site survey or remote review of drawings, cable routes and mast space. We then plan antenna positions to avoid blockage and interference, supply certified equipment, and complete mechanical installation, cabling, network integration and commissioning in one visit wherever possible.

## From survey to 24/7 support

- **Site survey & planning**: Antenna positioning, blockage analysis, cable routes and power requirements agreed before the vessel arrives.
- **Certified installation**: Mechanical mounting, marine-grade cabling and rack integration carried out by manufacturer-trained engineers.
- **Network integration**: Multi-WAN failover, VLANs for crew and business traffic, firewall rules and Wi-Fi coverage throughout the ship.
- **Commissioning & handover**: Line-up, activation and performance tests, followed by documentation and a handover to the master and crew.
- **Preventive maintenance**: Scheduled health checks, firmware updates and inspections that prevent failures and extend equipment life.
- **24/7 remote support**: Round-the-clock remote diagnostics and troubleshooting, with engineers dispatched to the next port when needed.

## Installation questions
### How long does a maritime satellite installation take?

A single Starlink or OneWeb terminal is usually installed and commissioned within one working day. A VSAT antenna with full network integration typically takes one to three days, depending on mast work, cable runs and class requirements.

### Can you install equipment while the vessel is in port for only a short time?

Yes. We prepare materials, drawings and configurations in advance so that the onboard work fits the port call. Where needed, cabling can be pre-installed and the final commissioning completed at the next port.

### In which ports do you work?

Our engineers regularly attend vessels in Rotterdam, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Algeciras and other major ports in Europe and the Mediterranean, and travel worldwide for fleet projects.

### Do you maintain systems you did not install?

Yes. We service and repair existing KVH, Intellian, Cobham, KNS, Starlink and OneWeb installations, and can take over maintenance of complete onboard IT networks.
