RAI shows European Football Championship in Ultra HD via TivùSat

News

The Italian public broadcaster RAI will show eight matches of the 2016 European Football Championship in France in Ultra HD image quality via the TivùSat satellite platform on the Hotbird satellite at 13 degrees east.

The opening match, both semi-finals and the final can be viewed at the RAI in Ultra HD quality. The matches are broadcast encrypted. This requires a registered TivùSat smart card to view it. TivùSat is a satellite platform for Italians who pay viewing and listening fees in that country. After purchasing a smart card in combination with a satellite receiver or CI module, you can watch the channel offering at no additional cost. However, in the Netherlands there are points of sale that offer working TivùSat smart cards. To watch the European Football Championship in Ultra HD via RAI, in addition to a working smart card and suitable CI module, a suitable Ultra HD television with satellite reception is also required.
