After a long wait, Dreambox has released a new model of the 7080HD. The new Dreambox 7080 HD has 3 tuners: 1 fixed DVB-S2 Twin tuner and two slots for Plug & Play tuners. The Dreambox 7080HD also has the option to install an internal 3.5″ SATA hard drive, making this digital receiver a full-fledged PVR with many recording options.

The Dreambox 7080 HD can be connected to the internet via the Gigabit Ethernet connection, for example to stream HD videos. It is also possible to connect an external HDD or USB stick via one of the USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports on the front and back of the satellite receiver.

The Dreambox 7080 HD can even reproduce digital data from SD cards via the integrated slot. The DVB-S2 Twin tuners can be exchanged for another plug-in tuner. In addition, there are two plugin slots available for expansion. The Dreambox 7080 HD automatically recognizes the new elements with a Plug & Play function. The HDMI 1.4 input and output ensure brilliant image quality.
