Privacy Policy

Satcenter (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit satcenter.tv or contact us, why we do so and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

  • Enquiries — when you use our contact form or email us: your name, email address and, if you provide them, phone number, company, vessel name/IMO, the service you are interested in and your message.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and the page you sent the form from, used to prevent abuse and spam.
  • Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies: anonymised usage statistics collected with Google Analytics 4 and, if enabled, Yandex Metrica.
  • Live chat — if you start a chat, the messages and details you share are processed by Zoho SalesIQ.
  • To answer your enquiry and prepare quotes — steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To keep our website secure and free from spam — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To understand and improve how our website is used — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies (session and security) are always active. Analytics cookies are only placed after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner; we use Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies are set if you decline. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for satcenter.tv.

How long we keep data

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact unless they lead to a contract, in which case statutory retention periods apply. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run our business — such as our hosting provider, email provider, Zoho (CRM, forms and live chat), Google (analytics) and, if enabled, Yandex (Metrica analytics) — under data processing agreements, and with authorities where the law requires it. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Email info@satcenter.tv to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
