24/7 Maritime Support Remote & Onboard

When the internet drops, an antenna stops tracking or the firewall blocks what it should not, our engineers pick up, day and night. We solve the problem remotely where possible and send an engineer on board where it is not.

What 24/7 support means

The same engineers who install your systems answer the call

"24/7 support" only helps when the person answering knows the equipment. At Satcenter, support is handled by the engineers who install and commission satellite and IT systems on vessels every week, not by a call centre reading from a script.

Support is more than answering the phone. We install, mount, commission and maintain the equipment ourselves, antennas from KVH, Intellian, Cobham and KNS, Starlink and OneWeb terminals, and firewalls from FutureKonnect, MikroTik, Marpoint, Peplink and Fortinet, and we support systems installed by others as well:

  • Installation and mounting of antennas, terminals, firewalls and network equipment
  • Maintenance: inspections, firmware updates and replacement of worn or failed parts
  • Fault finding on satellite links, antennas, networks and onboard services
  • Remote access to routers, firewalls and antenna controllers to fix configuration problems straight away
  • Step-by-step guidance for the crew when something has to be checked or reset on board
  • An engineer on board at the next port when hardware has to be repaired or replaced
  • A written report of the cause, the solution and any follow-up

Firewalls

Firewall installation and maintenance by the people who support it

The firewall decides which link the vessel uses, who gets how much data and what is kept out. We supply, install and maintain the firewalls and routers we work with every day, FutureKonnect, MikroTik, Marpoint, Peplink and Fortinet, and take over existing units on board.

  • Installation and commissioning in the rack, connected to every satellite and 4G/5G link on board
  • Configuration of VLANs for bridge, business, crew and OT, with failover and load balancing between links
  • Crew internet with vouchers, data limits and fair-use policies
  • Secure remote access (VPN) for the office and for service engineers
  • Maintenance: firmware updates, security patches, configuration backups and rule reviews
  • Replacement of a failed unit with the saved configuration restored

How it works

What happens when you call us

Every request follows the same steps, so you always know who is working on the problem and what happens next.

1. You reach an engineer

By phone, e-mail or the form on this page. Tell us the vessel name or IMO, its position or next port, and what has stopped working.

2. Remote diagnosis

We connect to the equipment through a secure remote session, or use the backup link, and check the antenna, modem, router and firewall.

3. Fix or workaround

Most configuration and network faults are solved remotely. If a part has failed, we keep the vessel online through a backup link where one is available.

4. Engineer on board

For hardware repairs we plan an attendance at the next suitable port, with the parts and configuration prepared in advance.

Support questions

Still have questions?

Our engineers are happy to help.

Contact an engineer

Satellite internet (Starlink, OneWeb and VSAT), Inmarsat and Iridium terminals, 4G/5G, firewalls and routers, the onboard network and Wi-Fi, VoIP telephony, TV and IPTV, and CCTV. If the fault turns out to be in another system, we tell you who to contact.

Yes. We support and repair existing KVH, Intellian, Cobham, KNS, Starlink and OneWeb installations and can take over the support of a complete onboard network. For a new vessel we start with a short review of the installation so we know what is on board.

Yes. As long as one link is working, the main connection, a backup link or a satellite phone, we can connect remotely or guide the crew step by step. Hardware that has to be replaced is planned for the next port call.

Call +31 85 560 71 20 or e-mail info@satcenter.tv. Please include the vessel name or IMO, the position or next port, and a short description of the problem.

Yes. We take over existing FutureKonnect, MikroTik, Marpoint, Peplink and Fortinet units: we review the configuration, save a backup, update the firmware and document the set-up, so that support can start from a known state.
