Choose the right OneWeb maritime terminal

OneWeb supports different maritime antenna designs. Flat-panel terminals offer a low-profile installation, while dual parabolic systems require space for two antenna units.

We assess antenna visibility, mounting space, power, cable routes and the required service profile. Vessel size alone does not determine the right terminal.

OneWeb airtime and pricing for your vessel

The right subscription depends on how you use the connection. Email and reporting require a different service profile from frequent video meetings, crew browsing or large project uploads.

Satcenter prepares a quotation covering:

• Hardware: terminal, mounting and associated equipment.
• Installation: onboard work, network configuration and commissioning.
• Airtime: data allowance, service profile, operating area and contract term.
• Ongoing services: agreed support and network management.

We also clarify activation costs, additional usage charges and any available committed-bandwidth options. Advertised terminal speeds should not be treated as guaranteed subscription performance.

Integrate OneWeb with Starlink, VSAT and onboard IT

OneWeb can operate alongside Starlink Maritime or an existing maritime VSAT system. Near shore, maritime 4G/5G can provide another connection where coverage allows.

A suitable router or firewall controls which users and applications use each service. Business traffic can be prioritised, crew usage managed and selected traffic redirected when the preferred connection fails.

Our maritime IT services include the network configuration needed to bring these connections together. Adding a second connection does not automatically combine their speeds for a single transfer; specific bonding requirements are assessed separately.

Installation planned around your port call

Before boarding, we review the proposed antenna position, cable routes, power supply and existing network. This helps establish the equipment, access and time required.

Our engineers install the agreed hardware, configure the connection and test the system before handover. Where included, testing also covers business and crew separation and failover behaviour.

From an equipment upgrade to a complete installation, our installation and maintenance services can be coordinated with a suitable port call or yard period.

Can OneWeb replace our existing connection?

It may be suitable as the primary service. Retaining another connection for backup depends on your operational needs, coverage and existing contracts.

Can business and crew internet be separated?

Yes. Separate networks, firewall policies and bandwidth controls can help manage access and usage onboard.
