From December 15, RTVE has migrated its international channels—including TVE International and Canal 24 Horas—to the Hotbird 13B satellite. If you’re experiencing a signal loss, here’s how to restore access and stay connected.
RTVE has moved from Astra to Hotbird to improve coverage across Europe. This change enables better signal strength and supports reception through smaller dishes.
To receive the new signal, users must:
Adjust their satellite dish to 13.0° East
Use a DVB-S2 compatible HD receiver
Rescan channels with updated parameters

Using Canaldigitaal? You’ll also need a compatible LNB. Order online at:

Most receivers allow for manual scanning. If not, auto scan functions or support from a local installer will help complete the setup efficiently.
Six national radio stations are included in the new feed:
RNE
Radio 3
Ràdio 4
Radio 5
Classical Radio
Radio Exterior de España
These stations broadcast alongside TV channels using the same satellite.
This transition is part of RTVE’s effort to modernize its satellite infrastructure. With minor adjustments, you can resume watching Spanish broadcasts with improved stability and access.
This change ensures long-term access to Spanish television and radio for all European viewers. With a quick adjustment to your satellite setup, you can continue enjoying RTVE content with high signal quality.
