At Satcenter, we recently completed a specialized project involving Intellian V100 troubleshooting and the installation of a secure firewall system on a maritime vessel. This task, performed in Dubai, aimed to restore stable VSAT connectivity and enhance the ship’s overall cybersecurity posture.
The vessel had been experiencing serious connectivity disruptions due to a malfunction in the Intellian V100 VSAT antenna system. This affected the crew’s ability to maintain stable internet access while at sea.
Our engineers conducted a full system assessment, isolated the fault, and applied the necessary hardware and software fixes. As a result, the V100 system was restored to optimal working condition.
To complement the restored internet connectivity, we also installed a robust firewall solution. This was configured to manage bandwidth, restrict unauthorized access, and monitor traffic in real-time — offering full protection against cyber threats.
By deploying a firewall alongside the VSAT, we provided layered protection and ensured compliance with maritime IT safety standards.
After completing both the repair and firewall deployment, we ran a series of tests to validate system integrity. This included:
Network throughput verification
Secure remote access setup
Latency and bandwidth performance tests
All components passed our quality control benchmarks.
