Family 7 on Joyne is a major development in Dutch satellite television. With the arrival of Joyne as a new provider, this Christian-themed channel is now available via satellite for the first time. Viewers looking for faith-based content finally have access to Family 7 as part of Joyne’s growing package.
Joyne is currently broadcasting test signals via the Eutelsat 9° East satellite. The full rollout of its services is expected to begin on August 1, bringing a wide variety of public and commercial Dutch-language channels to households across the Netherlands and beyond. The package includes genres such as music, entertainment, and news — and now, Christian programming.
Until now, Family 7 had not reached an agreement with Canal Digitaal and was unavailable via satellite. With Family 7 on Joyne, that barrier has finally been broken. The channel has been included in Joyne’s basic package, making it easily accessible to subscribers.
The programming schedule runs from 8 AM to 12 noon daily, offering a mix of family-oriented and spiritual content. However, since the broadcast window is limited to the morning, viewers who wish to watch shows later in the day will need a satellite receiver with hard disk recording capabilities.
While Joyne’s current website is minimal, it is undergoing a full redesign and will launch a more user-friendly version in August. This coincides with the full availability of its service and channel lineup.
The inclusion of Family 7 not only broadens Joyne’s appeal to faith-based audiences but also strengthens its position as a serious competitor to other satellite TV providers.
